It’s Time for Another Makeover!

20 Aug

First of all I want to apologize for not posting in awhile……life has been crazy busy and it’s hard to justify having to blog when your family needs you.

I am very excited however to share with you that another makeover is in the works! This time we will be making over a children’s bathroom. It is not my kid’s bathroom…..we only have one working bathroom in our home and I don’t think my husband would be okay with one that was filled with owls and rubber duckies! LOL

This bathroom belongs to my friend/neighbor Miranda. Her kids are 2 and 4 years old and have such fun and vibrant personalities. These kids deserve a bathroom that reflects their fun personalities and hopefully will make them squeal with delight !

Here are a few before pics…..

What is so fantastic about this bathroom makeover is that it already has great bones! I love the wall color……it’s bright and fun already for a children’s bathroom! There are gorgeous tile floors, a beautiful vanity and I love the crisp, white doors and trim. You know what that means right? This makeover is all about the decorating!!!!! Yeeeeehawww!!!

This is the plan for the room that Miranda and I have come up with:

  • paint a tree on the wall that also serves as towel hooks.
  • swap out the shower curtain for something more colorful and kid friendly
  • replace small brown rugs with one long rug
  • create some awesome subway art pertaining to washing your hands, brushing your teeth, etc
  • buy a few new bath towels and hand towels
  • have the kids create some of their own unique art to display on the walls
  • add some baskets on the half wall for rolled up towels, extra toilet paper or bath toys
  • buy a few more accessories like toothbrush holder, tissue holder and garbage can…..seriously how does she not have these things already? lol

So our plan is to do this makeover for under $100 and to complete it within a week. I’m really excited to get started on this one…..can you tell? : )
